Baby Girl had her 15-month appointment this afternoon

Her weight is 21.78 lbs
Her height/length is 30.75 inches

According to a baby growth percentile calculator that means for her age that she is:

Length = between percentile 50 and 75
Weight = between percentile 25 and 50

She fell asleep in the car afterwards (she had her Pneumoccal conjugate vaccination but we declined the chicken pox vaccine).

Since she was asleep - we went for a drive though the less populated areas nearby and saw a turtle (which I stopped and took a photo of).

Then she and Little Man played outside and she had her first independent ride on the teeter-totter (Little Man was on the other side) but Baby Girl held on all by herself!

Her next appt at the DR is Tues., Sept 27th at 10:30 a.m.

In other news, Little Man got his report card.  He is advancing to Grade 4 in September.

His highest grades were in French (A in writing, A - in oral communication & B+ in reading) compared to his English grades (C+ in writing, B- in oral communication & B in reading) and that C+ was the lowest grade that he received.

The deal we have with the kids is that they get $2 for each A (whether or not it's an A+, an A- or a regular A) and $1 for each B so he's got a $21 dollar report card.

And earlier today, I did my 5k at the track with Baby Girl and I edited this post at 8:07 p.m. to list my steps for the day -- 9738 steps.

I found my missing pedometer!

OK you may recall that I lost my pedometer awhile ago and I was really upset about it.  Well, Baby Girl grabbed the TV remote the other day and dropped it.  The battery backing popped off and it and a battery slid (or rolled as the case may be) under the couch.

So I dragged the couch out and underneath it, back at the wall was my missing pedometer.

This morning after I dropped Little Man off at school, I went straight to the rec centre with Baby Girl to do some walking.

I checked on my last lap and my speed was 3.71 miles/hr.  And I just checked now and I've walked 2.81 miles so far.

I popped Baby Girl into the playpen when I got home so I could go snag a shower because I had major under-boob sweat.  EMBARRASSING amounts of it.  So, of course I had to stretch out my shirt and take a pic in the bathroom mirror to show everyone...

Here it is:

My daily steps just before I got into the shower after the track.

Now, as I stripped down for the shower - I realized that the heart monitor had become partially unhooked - I have no idea how long that happened but the one is in an awkward spot (and needs to be) to be close to my heart and it just snagged by my bras and such.

Grr Arrgh!

Nice thing about heading out to the track this morning was that when I was on lap 5 or 6 I saw my friend, S. So she joined me and we had a really good paced walk the entire time plus good conversation.

I really like her and the more I talk to her, the more I like about her because she's a shoot-from-the hip kind of person. And I like, respect and identify with that sort of thing so it's cool.

I was going to write some more but a phone call derailed my thought process so here's a couple of pics of my kidlets.

I confess, I've been sulking

Some of my friends have some real life drama going on... my issues seem minor in comparison.

But we've been having issues losing things lately and I am still really upset as I realized last night that my pedometer was gone.

I had it on yesterday when I went out to supervise Son & some friends at the playground (I've got a story about that but I don't know if I feel like typing it out right now) and when I went to get into my PJs last night - when I reached to remove it - I discovered that it was gone.

So that was just under $40 (after taxes) wasted. Hubs said I should buy a new one but frankly, that's not in the budget -- he's still looking for work so money issues are drawing closer and closer to me having a major meltdown.

Add that to Hubs' missing cell phone AND my missing charger for my digital camera lithium battery and that all adds up to a grumpy, pouty ME!

I can't take pictures until I charge the battery and I have NO CLUE where the damn charger is!!!

I am most upset by this, followed by my anger at losing the pedometer.

So there you have it.

Yesterday - over 12000 steps

Had an evening out at my old stomping groups.

Though I also drank alcohol & pop (a few rye & ginger ales), plus water.  Ate a big street-meat hotdog with a bun and had chocolate earlier in the day. So let me get the crappy part out of the way first...

Weight: 206.4 lbs

Hubs was home with Baby Girl (who was still wide awake when I got home after 2 a.m.) and he was very cranky and pissed off at me.

When I got home he was complaining that if he was due home at such and such a time and then was late and didn't call that he'd be read the riot act.  I pointed out that he often doesn't call me when he arrives or leaves from his parent's place - which is much farther away than the club is.

He said that that is not the same.

I also pointed out that I had said, "I think we'll probably leave around midnight."

Whereas Hubs took that to mean, according to what he said last night when I got home, that I would be home between 11 and 11:30.

Also, when he called as I was standing outside the bar having a late night street meat hotdog (yep, can't even remember how long it's been since I had one of those) he was mad that Baby Girl was still up.

I asked if he'd heated up a bottle for her and tried that rather than cold milk in the sippy cup.  He said yes he had.

This morning I checked and he had not.  When I called him on that one, he apologized and said he was angry and confused last night.

Now you may recall that the last time I went out to the club (Xmas Day night) I also came home around this same time and he was made and upset that I didn't call to say that I was going to be later.

I think the next time I go - I'm just going to tell him that I'll be home around 3 a.m. and then when I roll in earlier than that - he'll be happy that I was home earlier than I said.

Sound like a plan???

Late afternoon yesterday - Hubs and I took Baby Girl up to St. Jacob's for a walk on the trail that we like.  It wasn't very crowded and was still a little muddy but it was nice.  By the time we got home I was up at just over 6000 steps for the day.

In the a.m. S-girl and I went out to MEfest.  Two of my friends were vendors at the event and there were a lot of different work-from-home/start-your-own-business type things as well as services geared towards women.

Let me look in my bag of handouts... and I'll post links for the people at booths that I spoke to:

(Apparently I do not have cards for a few booths we visited... the one that had the paci-strings and the one that had the yummy, decadent pretzels... I'll have to check with S-girl about those ones.)

Comparison...

OK here's the comparison pic... big thanks to 1G1D1Y who took both pictures...

So, any thoughts?

I do think it's cute that the kids have more hair in today's pic and Hubs and I have less...

And, yes, I decided to make a whole new post and crap, I just realized I took off the pedometer when I had my shower and forgot to put it back on... crapola!

I did have over 6000 steps before I had my shower but I've walked around a fair bit since then... *sigh*

Here are a few other pics from today...

Steps today

12212 steps.

Was talking to one of the women I know from the school (she also did boot camp with 1G1D1Y and myself though none of us ended up completing the boot camp) and she just made my day with her enthusiasm for the weight I've lost so far.

She really made me feel great and it's so nice that people do notice and realize the hard work I've been putting in.

Now as the weather slowly gets nicer I think more people might be noticing because I am wearing clothes that FIT ME now :)

But I am really tired and I want to start the next book in the P.C. Cast series that S-girl loaned to me.

G'night my friends!

going to bed - or at least to the bedroom

I'm tired.

Did 10,698 steps today. Could've done more if I'd walked to pick up Son after school but I had a baby asleep on me so I sent Hubs instead.

Read book 3 of the series S-girl has been loaning me.

Debating whether or not Hubs and I should watch Criminal Minds or the rest of AI.

I have over 10,000 steps today... and some pics

First of all, I went for a walk with S-girl and then Hubs & I walked (with Baby Girl) in the stroller to go get Son at school today.

My current amount of steps since I put my pedometer on at about 11 a.m.

10768 steps... not too bad for 4:22 p.m. on a Tuesday.

Today

March 25th - standing without any support

March 25th

March 28th - Joe Boxer PJs

Who should Hubs share with?  Dog or Baby?

Lessons in begging

Today - this time getting her big brother to share with her...

Had belly-dancing tonight

Didn't put my pedometer on until almost supper-time today so I had over 5000 steps since 5 p.m. today.

Rough time with Son after school today -- had to escape the house with S-girl for a bit.

So we are working on a beginner's routine for belly dance.

I have a handout of it so I am going to write it in here because I am highly likely to misplace the handout...

We've currently learned up to the end of Verse 2 (though we just learned the Lazy Accent tonight).

I have the hardest time at belly dancing because I really don't like to look at myself in the mirror...

at home

At the studio (after class) so my coin belt is off

I was going to write more but I think I want to go up to bed and start reading a book S-girl loaned me.

g'night!

did some shopping today

I ended up buying a pair of rain boots... which was not what I was actually out looking for, but they fit and will keep my huge feet dry at the very least.

Shopping did let me get in 5915 steps so far today, which is OK considering that I have not gone for an actual walk or anything today.

I am also feeling very wiped out... it's the tail end of shark week and Baby Girl (and therefore the rest of us) have not slept soundly for the past few days.

I haven't had a lot to say on here because, frankly, I am getting REALLY REALLY stressed about the fact that Hubs has not found employment yet and I would rather not blog than just spew a whole lot of negativity about that stressful topic on here.

I have gotten more exercise again this week, though still not up to where I was and I attribute that the the lack of sleep + general feeling of being rundown.

I haven't been on the com much (as you can probably tell) so I must apologize for not doing much in the way of reading and commenting.

As always, if there's something you really want me to read/know/comment on -- mention it in a comment or email it to me :>

Other than that - am I too old for a late afternoon nap?  Please say no *wink*

Pic heavy post before bed! (plus a vlog once youtube processes it)

Steps today: 10366

Went for a walk with S-girl... took a bunch of pics, of which I will share a few. I also have another silly vlog but I'll have to edit this post to add it afterwards.

Had a board meeting tonight - and I'm feeling kind of tired now.

Baby Girl had a decent day - can't believe she's one!!!

Son was excited that it was Baby Girl's bday too - and I snapped a cute pic of them this morning before Son went off to school.
