Geez, cooking is something that can be learned. (I've never made a turkey, and the one time my sister made a goose it was terribly dry... nevertheless we're both great cooks, and our guys mainly put up with our crazy because they love our food. *lol*)
ReplyDeletethere is a cookbook called "America's Test Kitchen" cookbook. The red one is regular and the green one is for healthier versions of recipes. I started using this (and also getting the magazine from Barnes and Noble called "Cook's Illustrated" and now everyone things I'm a freaking genius in the kitchen. It's amazing. The way they break things down and also EXPLAIN WHY you, for example, always dry meat off w/a paper towel before searing it (makes a crispy crust versus a soggy steamed one), that really helps the most. If I did it, you can really really do it! xoxoxoo GP
