no scale at the hotel

Is it normal that I am obsessing over the lack of a scale?

Maybe I should ask Hubs to bring ours.

?Being in a hotel over a long wkend isn't great re: food either.

That being said, I did go check out the fitness room which had 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical and on stationary bike [;us some hand weights.

There is a continental breakfast too.

I had cornflakes w] skim milk, a half whole wheat bagel with a tsp of cream cheese and green tea. Grabbed a banana too but it's too green for me.

Hubs went down later than I did and there were eggs and sausage and some other choices that weren't out when I was there at 7 a.m.

Yesterday was nuts re: food though... we didn't eat ANYTHING until after we were at the hotel (so after 4:30 p.m.) though I had at least had a good cup of tea in the a.m. at 1G1D1Y's place.

At least tmw the grocery store will be open so we can snag some small stuff to have in our room.

I want to thank everyone for all your thoughts and kind words and positive energy -- I really appreciate it!

Thanks!

  1. You are doing your best with a crap situation. That you checked the fitness center is a good sign that you aren't letting the current crisis get you off track.

And it isn't weird that you want your scale. It means you are still focused on you and that is a good thing. Just think if you can stay on track through this then there is no excuse for when life returns to normal, right?

Does the hotel have an indoor pool? I'd be all in that for a workout.

  3. Great attitude girl! Just stay focussed and you will get through this ... I'm just glad everyone is ok. Replacing/fixing stuff is a pain for you and your neighbours but as long as everyone is ok, the rest is just crap you have to deal with.
Hugs to all hun. And keep up the great work!
