"I'm fat as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" -- this was my original summary of Fat, Angry Blog. Between July 23, 2010 & April 2, 2011 I went from 278 lbs to 204.2 lbs. BUT here I am near the end of July 2012 at 255 lbs... *SIGH* I've got to stick with it this time!

Another wedding and another reading ;>
So yesterday was the day, 1G1D1Y got married to the man I introduced her to back in 2006.
I've been told that that should mean they have to buy me a pair of shoes in some cultures.
WHERE ARE MY SHOES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I was asked to do a reading during their ceremony but I couldn't find anything that really expressed what I wanted to say so I wrote something for them instead.
I have a video of it... but I am alarmed at the angle because I look WIDE and I think I look healthier than that in person. Perhaps this dress I love(d) should not be one I wear often if this is what I really look like in it.
Oh and the woman who did the second reading -- whoa, so glad I didn't have to follow her Neil Gaiman show-stopper.
Anyway, here's me.

Not in a good mood
I don't know what's wrong with me... it's like my Seasonal Affective Disorder has kicked in early or something.
I'm moody, down, lethargic, having a very full dreamscape and waking exhausted.
I did have fun on the weekend - going out dancing with some friends while Hubs stayed home with Baby Girl and Little Man but then boom, I'm back to not wanting to get out of bed.
:(
I think I definitely need a new scale though. I had 216.4 then 214. 6 and then 221 and 218 all within 5 minutes or less.
Well, I guess new batteries might do the trick as well - but whatever - I've got to do something so I have accurate readings.
We had a tornado warning last wk. I was pretty freaked out since there had been an F3 tornado touch down in a town about an hour from here and there was a lot of damage.
Luckily things didn't get too bad here after all...

OK so I was thrilled that my 4 faves were paired together!
My Top 3 fav routines were:
Marko & Melanie statue contemporary ala Travis
Nick & Iveta Quickstep (of doom) ala Jason
Missy & Wadi sexy Pandora's box jazz from Sean Cheeseman
I thought that Tadd out-danced bday girl Jordan and there was just something about how she held and moved her arms for much of the piece that seemed "off" to the dramatic and emotional feel of the routine.
Sasha out-danced and out-performed the hell out of Alexander but I'd forgotten about their routine by the end of the show.
Clarice and Jess got saddled with some lame Tyce Broadway and I found it lackluster at best though 95% of that is on Tyce. Jess out-danced Clarice.
Ricky & Ryan - lyrical hip-hop? I can understand it if it were NappyTabs but we know Chris Scott can challenge dancers far more than that... and I HATED that Ryan was grinning throughout the routine. I was also bored. And I think Ricky out-danced Ryan but I'm not sure because like I say, I was bored.
Caitlynn & stand-in Robert (since Mitchell was injured) - did anyone else think he got hurt during that bit where she kind of rolled across Mitchell's back in rehearsal? I thought this one was pretty good but my eyes kept going to Robert. Sorry Caitlynn.
WOO Guy Robert & Miranda - I'm sorry but there was a lot of sloppy footwork in this Jive and the partnership wasn't jelling well (I thought) plus Robert - stop with the Erkel thing and remember that Twitch did the glasses thing already and with more charm - lose the schtick please.
Missy & Wadi - my first real thrills of the night -- excellent routine, I could feel the connectedness of their partnership and I thought they did an excellent job with a great song and choreographer!
Melanie & Marko - 2 of my 4 favourites, paired together, dancing my favourite style... Travis did a fabulous job with this piece and M&M danced the living hell out of it... my first goosebumps of the season and just such strength and partnering and FEELING!!! Love love love love!
Ashley & Chris - good song, cute idea but it came across rather juvenile by comparison to many of the other performances. Too cutesy and not enough real emotion came through to me as a viewer, despite what the dancers said in the rehearsal footage.
Nick & Iveta - OK, my other 2 favourite dancers, paired together in the pimp spot of the night -- awesome so far... then, why did "ballroom" become the dreaded Quickstep??? That being said, it was a damn good, fast and entertaining quickstep - though I was hoping they'd have gotten something sexier rather than fun but I loved!
Here's hoping America did because, as a Canuck, I can't vote.

Keep the good vibes coming!!!
The hiring decision for the job Hubs interviewed for last week should be made by Friday and when Hubs called to follow up, he was told that he'd be informed either way.
When I was a retail store manager, I would only tell the best candidates that I would let them know either way and the others, I would thank for coming in and inform them that I'd be making my decision by a certain date.
I *really* hope he gets this job.
Now, onto cuteness...
Baby Girl loves Lady Gaga - I also have her dancing to Britney but that's not uploaded yet...

Baby Girl Update
So let's see...
Baby Girl weaned herself from breastmilk this month (about mid-month).
She now eats apple slices, bananas (sliced) raw or frozen, raisins, cheese, crackers, Cheerios, baby cookies, buttered or garlic toast, pizza (though she likes the crust the best), chicken breast, turkey breast, gravy, baked beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cooked carrots, corn, peas, apple sauce, baby food (though not often), hamburger meat, pasta, bread and rice.
She's also had birthday cake, ice cream, cheesies and popcorn.
And she does not seem to care for apple juice so far but she will drink watered down orange juice, homogenized (aka "whole") milk and water.
She has also enjoyed having spoonfuls of my smoothie when I have one.
She has had red peppers, spinach, cucumber and celery but hasn't been over enamoured of them.
For words she says:
- Mama (and it's the first one she used to indicate a person - ME!)
- Dada
- Baby
- Bye-Bye
- Good Girl
- Big Girl
- uh-oh
Still no more than one unassisted step, but she crawls a lot, stands a lot and keeps trying to climb things!
And she's working on her canine teeth. Lower left is probably going to be the next tooth through which would but her at 13 teeth.
Not too shabby for a 14-month-old, I think...

Girl stuff, the movie Limitless & other things
My fashionably late period has shown up and I feel like HELL this morning!
:(
And I do have pernicious anemia but I do take B12 sub lingual tablets plus iron so I still can't figure out why I've been so wiped out lately...
Before I forget... if any of my readers are on Facebook, please go to http://www.facebook.com/fitnessdepot click "like" & then go to the wall, find the pic that you see at the top of my blog & click "like" on the photo of Cara-Mae (me).
If I get the most "likes" by May 15th, I can win a $250 gift card from Fitness Depot and I could certainly use some new equipment and since Hubs has STILL not heard from anyone re: getting a job - y'all know I can't afford to buy anything.
Yesterday Hubs and I used our two-for-1 movie coupon to attend the "Stars & Strollers" matinee showing of "Limitless" which, unfortunately tested the limits of my patience.
Despite the lead role being filled by the dreamy and charismatic Bradley Cooper, the movie was extremely predictable, overall rather boring and relied far more on "tell me" rather than "show me" in regards to the voice-overs from the aforementioned Cooper.
Robert De Niro was drab and played a minor role. All in all, a very disappointing outing.
On the good news department, Son found my missing car key! So now the only missing items are my pedometer (lost outside) and Hubs' cell phone.
Here's another video of Baby Girl from Hubs' camera... it's very cute!

So exhausted
I really don't know what is wrong with me... if Hubs and I had actually had any nookie lately I'd be a little concerned because I am SO EXHAUSTED and my period is late.
However, we have NOT had nookie since the last time I mentioned it in my blog. Yep, no wonder we've been grumpy around here.
But I did go out yesterday morning with K. to continue our Couch to 5K goal. So we are on week two of the training.
I am really noticing what a difficult time I am having breathing when I am doing any form of exercise and am really starting to wonder if I may require an inhaler or something.
What else?
Gotta go see my birth Mom today and get her to do our taxes for us (did I mention that math is not my friend?).
Going to try to upload a video that Hubs took on his digital camera (my old one) of Baby Girl. (I was in a big fluffy housecoat because I had just had a bath.)

30 days of songs - Day 29
day 29 - a song from your childhood
This one has to be oowatanite by April Wine. My sister used to play this really loudly in our parent's rec room and I would run and dance around like a miniature crazy person!
The next runner up would be Heart of Glass by Blondie

Is very sad to say that actress Elisabeth Sladen has passed away
I suppose not a lot of my TV-adoration and fandom has been featured on this blog but, in case you may be unaware... I am a HUGE Doctor Who fan.
My favourite all-time Doctor was the Third Doctor who was wonderfully portrayed by Jon Pertwee. And one of my all-time favourite Companions was portrayed by the talented Elisabeth Sladen as the wonderful Sarah Jane Smith (Catherine Tate's "Donna" edged Elisabeth Sladen from the #1 spot).
I cried when I heard the news today.
So, here are some iconic SJS moments:

For karaoke: These Boots Are Made for Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra
For a version of Rock Band: Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler

30 days of songs - Day 24
day 24 - a song that you want to play at your funeral
I've given this a lot of thought over the years and I've only got these two songs from my favourite movie, "Harold & Maude"...
