I've been a bit quiet - sorry about that

I've been having a rather emotional week and not in a way that I really knew how to express how I was feeling.

I also had some eating issues and had an uptick but then dropped 2 days in a row so I am now under my last posted weigh-in weight.

weight:  214.8 lbs

There have been a number of times since my epihany post where I found myself feeling very vulnerable and emotionally fragile.  Lots of moments where a sudden thought would have tears welling up in my eyes, waiting to fall.

But I didn't WANT to weep.

And I didn't WANT to eat.

And once I figured those two things out, I started feeling a bit more like myself again.

I think I'll chalk this one up to changing hormones.

re: blog reading --- I'm behind on that too so if there's any post you really want me to read and/or comment on let me know about it in a comment here on via email.

Thanks!

I also have a little update on goal clothing...

I posted the following pics on Jan 19, 2011.

I took the next two photos YESTERDAY...

They are still too tight to wear comfortably but look at this...

  1. Getting goal pants secured and fastened is awesome. Motivating to get them to be comfortable in a couple weeks.

Sorry to hear about the emotional week. Glad to see you are dealing with the emotions instead of taking the food Rx like we used to.

    have a great sunday!

  2. I'm sorry you have had a tough week, and I totally get your being MIA-I would do the same. I think it is impressive that you still managed to pull out a loss in spite of it all! I think it is rocking that you could button those pants-especially since they are those latchy type of fastener, right? Hope your week improves, and that you feel your strength return soon. I'm not a hugger, but *hugs* to you.

  4. Thanks JP!

There's a lot of snow outside, which I'm not enjoying, but I am reading some blogs and sipping some tea - so that's decent :>

    @Stacy - :>:>:>

@Polar's Mom -- thank you *HUGS BACK* and yes, that is the type of fastener!

  7. Glad you're feeling more like yourself again. Yeah, I always blame it on hormones too - because it's their fault!

You are so close to those pants fitting well. Cool!

  9. Woohoo, pants!!!

I bought some "new" used pants for myself on eBay today, since my current office pants tend to slide off my hips by now... and I don't want to waste too much money on clothes until I am where I want to be. (I've never been any slimmer than this, since I grew up. I don't have any "skinny" pants I could shrink back into. Well except for one I wore when I was sixteen, which is kind of hideous anyway...)

  12. This is just wonderful. You must have lost such a lot off your belly from the last time you posted that photo. I am so so excited for you.

I am sorry you haven't been feeling like yourself. I know how demotivating it can be to be in a weird mood.

I knwo that you will keep on trucking!

    Well done!!!

(ps, i really don't even know what the superbowl is, so LOL)

  14. It was so comforting to read that you also have had all these emotions as you lose weight. I have not lost nearly as much as you have, but still, I find myself sobbing at Folger's Coffee Ads. WTF?

Be glad you avoided the Super Bowl. It just was an occasion for me to attack a platter of chicken wings and then feel awful about it.
