Last family Xmas was yesterday

It went really well... everyone was in good spirits, the kids were well-behaved, and I got a LOT of positive feedback from my family about how I've been doing with my weight loss so far.

My one niece did not attend - but with everything that's gone on with her lately -- I understand it.  I can't imagine what she is going through with everything these days.

One of my other nieces is getting married to her bf of 9 yrs THIS September, luckily it does NOT conflict with another wedding in Sept that I am attending.

My only unmarried nephew has finally gotten engaged to his lovely gf , though they are planning on a destination wedding (so we'll see them when they come back) in 2012.

Here's a cute pic of him with Son and Baby Girl and my great-niece and great-nephew...

I'm debating whether or not a portion of a dream I had last week might actually apply to my oldest niece (who is pregnant with her 3rd child) because her wonderful hubby is the same astrology sign as Hubs is.

This was the dream:

Last night (Jan 7th) I dreamt that my girlfriend B's dad was dying of cancer and for some reason I was going to the hospital to sit with him (I have met him maybe once)...

I told Hubs I was going while he was laughing and reading me his horoscope out of the newspaper because it said, "Maybe a baby boy before Christmas."

And he said, "That would be one short pregnancy." And then I reminded him that it was January.

I go to the hospital and I run into my Mom who is talking to me about how she "just hates this place."

I told her I didn't like being there either.

Then she started telling me that the hospital "stole the cat's ashes"

And I said that she had Skippy cremated (back in 2004) - no cats and not at the hospital.

Then she said, "I mean your father's ashes."

And I reminded her that he was buried and then I remembered that Mom was dead and gone too and I was going to say something but she disappeared.

Then I was at a movie theatre watching a disaster movie and there were these people on a subway in Toronto trying to get to safety and I realized it was S-girl and Hubs and K-n-R and 1G1D1Y and all the kids and then I was IN the movie, on the outside of the last subway car, holding on for dear life and screaming my head off.

We ended up crashing into Honest Ed's and we all got off the subway and were OK but we had to evacuate but someone had stolen the wheels off everything we could think of to carry all the kids in and then I woke up.

So even though my 1st inclination is that my niece is having a girl this time... maybe the dream means she'll have a boy because since Hubs is snipped -- I don't see us having a baby boy.

I guess we'll have to wait and see though.

Now, I have been getting back on track, but I need to do more -- I find I am falling back into my old habit of not eating for HOURS and HOURS after I first wake-up

I think the hotel stay threw me off more than I thought because although we made use of the complimentary breakfast -- we were skipping lunch and then only eating dinner so we wouldn't have to spend as much $$.

  1. So glad you had such a great time with your family! What a gorgeous bunch there!

I'm impressed that you can remember your dreams so vividly. I have a good memory, but sometimes forget the finer details...or, spend so much time on the finer details that I forget the bigger picture.

Hope you have a fantastic week!
